To those who chose Benue State University, during this years UTME, there seems to be some form of relief as their plight as the university has reduced the ridiculous cut-off marks it had set earlier.


Post University Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (PUTME) Screening Exercise for the
2015/2016 Academic Session

Following the reversal of the earlier policy by the
Joint Admissions and Matriculations (JAMB) on
admissions into Nigerian Universities all University
Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
candidates who have applied for admission into the
Benue State University, Makurdi for the 2015/2016
academic session are hereby informed that
candidates who scored 180 points and above in the
UTME are eligible to participage in the Post UTME
Screening Exercise of the university Schedued to hold
at the University Campus along Makurdi-Gboko Road
as follows:

S/NO SUBJECT DATE / TIME
1. Commencement of online
registration
Monday, 27th July, 2015

. Closure of online registration 12 midnight, 11th August, 2015

. Date of Screening Exercise Thursday, 13th – Friday, 14th
August, 2015

2) Candidates are to note that the screening
exercise shall be conducted using OMR paper and
pencil.

3) Eligibility
Candidates who applied for MB.BS and Law are to
note, however, that only those who scored 200 and
above are eligible. Candidates for MB.BS programme
who scored below 200 but ot less than 180 shall be
allowed to sit for the Post UTME Screening Exercise
in any of B.Sc Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biology,
Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Enviromental
Management & Taxicology, Microbiology, Zoology
and Plant Science & Biotechnology. For candidates
who applied for Law but scored less than 200 and not
less than 180, they shall be allowed to sit for the Post
UTME Screening Exercise in other courses as
appropriate.

4) Candidates are to print the 2015/2016 time table
for the Post UTME Screening Exercise on the
University website: www.bsum.edu.ng

PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT & REGISTRATION
Candidates shall be required to:

1. Pay a non-Refundable fee to Benue State University,
Makurdi Online in any of the designated banks using
their UTME Registration Number as follows:
Screening fee - N1,000.00
Processing fee - N1,500.00
Total - N2,500.00

2. The designated banks are as follows:
First Bank Plc, Union Bank Plc,
Fidelity Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc,
EcoBank Plc, UBA Plc,
Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Sterling Bank Plc,
Unity Bank Plc and Skye Bank Plc

3. Using your UTME Registration No. proceed to
register Online for the Post UTME screening exercise
from 27th July to 11th August, 2015.

4. Proceed with the Online registration Print-out and
receipt of payment to the Faculty of your programme
of choice for documentation and signing by the Dean
of the Faculty.

5. Produce JAMB UTME Online Result Slip with a recent
passport photograph affixed to be submitted during
the Screening Exercise.

6. Candidates are advised to come along with HB Pencil
and also adhere strictly to their choice of
programmes at UTME.
