Ahead of the kickoff of Season 5 of the MTN Football Scholars campaign, the Football Scholars paid a visit to MTN’s Corporate Headquarters in Falomo, Ikoyi recently.

This year’s edition will see the MTN Football Scholars going on a tour across four Universities in the county where they will be playing series of novelty matches against the school teams.

It kicks-off on July 30th at the University of Abuja before moving to University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus on July 31st. The Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State will host the Scholars on August 2nd and the tour will move to the University of Lagos’ where the Scholars will play the Unilag School in the last of game of the tour on August 4th.

MTN Football Scholars is a youth oriented football talent hunt initiative of MTN aimed at discovering budding talents in Nigerian football, focusing on boys between the ages of 14 and 17 years old. It is a platform that provides youths a credible opportunity to excel and become top flight footballers.
