What qualifications do our IGCSE tutors have?

City tutors believe that private tuition can only be successful if our IGCSE tutors have the relevant qualifications and experience. All of our IGCSE tutors must hold a degree in the subject they tutor at 2.1 or above or a teaching qualification recognised by the General Teaching teaching council. At this level all of our IGCSE tutors hold a degree or teaching qualification specialising in one or two individual subjects.

What experience do our IGCSE tutors have?

All of City Tutors' IGCSE tutors are required to have relevant teaching or private tuition experience. Many of our IGCSE tutors are qualified teachers; others are experienced tutors with high class degrees. All must have up to date knowledge of the curriculum and the IGCSEs.

How do you know your children will be safe with our IGCSE tutors?

We interview and obtain 2 references for every private tutor; one work reference and one character reference. Many of the work referees have worked with the tutor in a teaching environment so they can provide us with a valuable insight in to the way the tutor works with children.
The character referee can also help us determine whether a tutor is suitable to work with children for private tuition due to their characteristics. All of our tutors are screened very closely by our Tutor Support team.
