BENIN CITY ––The Managing Director (MD) of “God is Good Motors” reportedly abducted last Sunday morning in Benin City has been found dead in Ekiadolor village, near Benin.


The multi-millionaire transporter whose corpse was recovered yesterday morning by men of Ekiadolor Police Station, The NIGERIAN OBSERVER reliably gathered, was tortured to death as his legs, hands and neck were tied together.


Though the gunmen who had earlier demanded N110 million ransom from his family, it was further learnt, later received N60 million, yet, why they went ahead to murder their victim remained a sad question begging for answer.


When The NIGERIAN OBSERVER visited the transport company’s head office at 202B, Uselu-Lagos road, both the manager and other staff declined comment, saying that they were in a sad mood, as buses were seen packed inside the premises.


While mourning the death of the victim who was described as easy-going, a shop owner stated that the Managing Director (MD) was abducted by assassins and not kidnappers as earlier thought.


While confirming the recovery of the corpse, the Image-Maker of the State Police Command, ASP Peter Ogboi stated that it was a case of assassination and not kidnapping as earlier speculated.


He, however vowed that the police would soon unravel those behind the killing.
Investigation however revealed that what appeared to be internal war exists among big time transporters in the state as over three famous transport magnates have fallen victims.


It will be recalled that about a decade ago, the founder of Big Joe Motors, Mr. Joseph Osayande was also murdered in similar circumstances in Benin City by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

i know the MD of God is Good motors and the person who allegedly killed him, they are related, His name is Anyaehie and currently he is at large, but his elder brother emeka is under police custody, though he is not privy to the plan to kidnap and kill laga(this is the alias of mr ajere) the MD of God is good motors, he started his business in the most humble way at the uwelu motor spare parts market and gradually he build his business to the present stage, he was an easy going man who cant hurt a fly. His death is a very big loss to the isu local govt community and Nigeria in general.after paying the ransome, it was alleged that the mastermind was arguing that the money that was paid is not enough four million, when mr ajere heard his voice, he begged him to let him go and that he will do anything he anyaehie wanted, he even promised to send him overseas, but all his pleas fell on deaf ears as he was strangled by anyaehie.My prayer to his folks is to bury him as keeping his body in the mortuary is not helping matters.this is the kind of callousness that has befallen benin city nay Nigeria as a country, people are doing the unthinkable to make money, the days of ritual killings is gone, now the order of the day is kidnapping, God save nigeria i pray.

and didnt I say somewhere that a huge number of what goes on in Nigeria can be traced directly to family members? Either intentionally or inadverdently- but most times there's deliberate mischief springing from family vendettas and real or perceived grievances.

Hope he wasnt killed because he identified his captor. Assuming he even stood a chance in the first place.

There was no business connection between god is good and the alleged killer, its pure greed,they are not age mates or business associates,its quite unfortunate that he was killed,we lost a collosus,a rare gem and a an employer of labour.this kind of things should not happen in the first place,sometimes i am tempted to ask, where is God.

Oh no.
