The worst punishment you can give to an
average teenager is to tell him to stay away
from sex and sexually related activities. It is
like asking a vampire to stay away from
blood. The teenage (puberty) stage of life is
a phase where the suffer from "SLEEP
WALKING" and need guidance.

The spike in the production of sex hormone
amongst teenagers is like a leakage of
inflammable gases in a gas plant, just a
single spark is enough to inflame them and
unfortunately this present world is filled
with sparking elements all around, the
internet, movie Industry, music industry,
fashion industry, magazine etc. Putting
them at high risk of been inflamed.

The main reason why parents finds it
difficult to teach their children about sex
and sexuality is because their parents too
never taught them about it. Everything they
knew about sex then, is what they heard
from their friends or perhaps the little
knowledge the school guidance and
counseling told them, so they expect their
children to learn in the same manner.
Unfortunately, in their time, there was just
but few controlled places to learn about sex
but today, there are countless
uncontrollable sources for them to learn.
The teenage mind is no more innocent as
used to be, only God can tell what is going
on in their mind.

As parents, Sex is not something you can
keep away from teenagers because one way
or the other they will come to know about
it ( worst, the corrupted version of it) but it
is an act they decide to stay away from
which you can't make for them. Hence to
help them make this decision;

1. Equip yourself in with the accurate and
current knowledge about sex and sexuality.
If you don't know, you can't teach them and
if you can't teach them you can't help them.

2. Expose them to the naked truth about
sex, don't hide anything from them.

3. Don't be ashamed / uncomfortable
discussing sex related issues with them, it
makes it easy for the to share with you
what they are experiencing in such areas
especially what they hear from friends.

4. Avoid scaring them with myths because
there will come a time when they will want
to verify these myths.

5. Don't over spiritualize the consequences
of indulging in the act....(if try it, you will
end up in hell).

6. Don't be too suspicious of them, (if you
want to invade their privacy, do it wisely )............www.reliis..com/2015/08/the-worst-punishment-you-can-give-to.html
