Yes it is. Those bags look cute!

Thanks. It is one bag. one is the front. The other is the back.

Tunisian crochet requires very long hooks. or hooks with something attached to make it long and a stopper at the end because of the many loops. They even have Graphghans made with Tunisian crochet.
If you use small hooks you will have to join them together to make a big Afghan.

Hi crocheters, I am yet to make anything for babies. Please If you have, is 'yeye' yarn suitable for a baby blanket or do I use cotton yarn? Thanks in anticipation.

Good morning. Yeye is acrylic, which is good for babies in cold weather. It gets very warm. Cotton keeps them warm but it is more breathable than acrylic.
Hope this helps.

Yes, thanks. I was just wondering if yeye wool will be too heavy for new born babies. You know we double the yarn to use a 4mm hook.

If you use it, either "kill" it by ironing it under a wet towel on low heat , or soak it in hair conditioner to soften it.

Ok. Thanks for the correction.

I don't have the long Tunisian hook so I'm using the regular 4mm crochet hook.
I'm doing medium sized squares of 24 stitches x 24 rows ( using 8 ply acrylic yarn).

The squares are worked in rounds, beginning from the middle piece.

In local markets where clothing accessories are sold. You can buy online from abroad though.
Where do you live, so that others in the same town can give you directions.

You are welcome. I tried the cord a long time ago, using the regular yeye yarn. It still turned out ok.
So I think that should do.

You can use that white thread used for making headrest and table cover. I really don't know what it is called.

Hi,
Great works you have there.
Although you can use any yarn and appropriate hook, to get it looking like you need use crochet cotton thread. (its like very thin twine)

Not sure where to get get it in naija but if you find it comes in various thicknesses / weight from about 3 to 100. The smaller the number the thicker the yarn weight. Those yarns are actually more suited to the small hooks that are sold in naija.

A size 10 yarn works well with a 1.5, 2.0 or 2.5 mm hook.
