Former Nigerian reggae star Majek Fashek is presently in a rehabilitation center in Abuja. Recently, a Save Majek fund-raising campaign which was spearheaded by one of Majek’s backup singer in the 90s, Monica Omorodion Swaida was launched. The aim of the campaign was to raise enough funds which will then be used to send the legend to rehab. That campaign has now been called off as Warri billionaire, Ayiri Emami has taken over any bills that will be accrued as a result of the singer’s rehabilitation.
