Good day Y'all, let me go straight 2d point, my dad has a high BP (blood pressure) 4 5yrs nw which he had been taking treatments, but he stop takin treatment and drugs last year saying its all gone, my mum disturbs him everyday he kept saying he's free from it, due 2 d kind of place he works all thos treatments and drugs are even free but still he refuse taking precautions. A month ago, he woke up screaming he can't get up again my mum try 2 help him get up but one side of his body iz gone paralyzed suddenly, we rushed him to d company hospital quickly were dey told us his BP iz gone too high( 220) I was like whaaaat D doctor kips yearling y didn't he come 4 check ups... My mum wipe thru out dat day... If not 4 prayers nd d very good hospital don't knw wat it would had been now. He's now getting better after spending 3weeks @d hospital trying to walk wit d help of a crutch... All am saying iz if any or your parents or relatives iz in dat kind of situation plz n plz make sure dey are regularly checked, and ave a BP tester @ home if possible nd take their medication daily cos if one have it according to d doc its 4 life thing but it can b managed and try not to make dem angry ok. Thanks

This is a lovely thread, full of consideration for the family of others. Thanks. I also have family members who suffer from HBP but they take their drugs. Fortunately.

are you sure that your dad didn't have a stroke since he was paralyzed?
High blood pressure can cause strokes and lead to one-sided paralyzation.
