In Part 1 of this series we saw mankind categorised into two classes of people on the basis of who they worship. Those who by worshipping the beast or his image receives his mark (Rev 13:8,15-17) and those who receives the seal of God because of their Christlike character and obedience to his commandments. (Rev 7:1-3, 14:1-5 &12) Part 2 emphasizes that the battleground of this last fight between Christ and Satan is worship. (Rev 14:7, 13:15)

The reason no one else or thing is worthy of our worship except God is because he is our CREATOR. As the psalmist tells us "O come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our MAKER." - Ps. 95:6. "Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing, know that Jehovah is the Lord, it is he that hath MADE us and not we ourselves" - Ps.100:2-3. In fact, the difference between God and all other gods, is because he is our Creator. "For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord MADE the heavens.... O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness" - Ps. 96:5&9. Furthermore, Jeremiah tells us "But Jehovah is the true God...thus shall you say unto them, the gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish" - Jer. 10:10-11. The popular Christian song "Thou art wor...thy!" recognised and celebrates this fact. "Though art worthy, o Lord to receive glory and honour and power for thou hast CREATED all things and for thy pleasure, they are and were CREATED" - Rev 4:11.

The Seal of God.

So important is this issue of not only recognising and worshipping God as CREATOR but by so doing showing our loyalty to him in obedience to his commandment,, that he tells us never to forget. "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy...for in six days the Lord MADE the heavens and the earth, and the sea and all that is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it" - Ex. 20:8 &11. This same worship injunction is included in the three-fold, final warning of love message, that is to be given to mankind at the time of the end. Hear the revelator; "...Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgement is come; and WORSHIP him that MADE heaven, and earth, and sea and the fountains of waters." - Rev 14: 7. The Sabbath commemorate (celebrates or mark) God as CREATOR of the world and to say that its no longer relevant or that its been done away with or even changed is to imply ignorantly, that God has changed, or that he is not our Creator! The truth is that, God holds up the seventh day (Saturday), Sabbath, as his Mark, Sign or Seal of his Creator-ship " Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be SIGN between me and them.....and hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a SIGN between me and you, that you may know I am the Lord your God"- Ezek. 20:12 & 20. Rev 14:12, tells us that the end time saints are those " ...that keep the commandments of God, and have the faith of Jesus.

In addition, the Sabbath contains three essentials of an official seal, namely; (1) The name of the issuer or person. (2) His official position, title or authority, and so his right to rule; and (3) The extent of his dominion and jurisdiction. For example, we have President (title), Buhari (Name) of the federal republic of Nigeria (dominion or area of jurisdiction) Take a look at the 4th commandment in Exodus 20:8-11. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy....for in six days the Lord (Name) made (title or office: Creator) the heavens and earth (dominion). This commandment shows God's authority to enact all other commandments and shows all other gods to be false gods, and therefore not worthy of worship.


The time has come said Jesus when " the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father seek such t worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in TRUTH and SPIRIT" - John 4:23-24.
