A horrific accident occurred this afternoon along the Lagos-Ibadan Express road. A trailer crashed into an 18-sitter bus carrying passengers. Witnesses said there were no survivors. Quite sad! See the pics after the cut but please be warned...

they are very graphic...

God forbid such oooo just that Naija way tire person.

Our govt have to come up with a hard one on trailer/truck drivers that keep signing death warrant for other road users.
Grant them eternal rest oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them and may their soul rest in peace.

God am still in thanksgiving mood for saving my Dad from Dangote truck last two sunday. God, I recognize your handwork g miracle when I see one. You did it

You die when your time is up. Those people died because their time was up. God created them in Nigetia so they coild die on that dame road and in that exact manner.

Every second is a step towards fulfillment of your destiny, I doubt if the number of years ypu live on earth matters to God and therefore I don't think it should matter to you.

As usual, the blame goes to the trailer. No one has bothered to find out the facts about the accident. Op, how did you come about your conclusion?
I can see the accident happened on a dual carriage way. Question 1: Who had the right of way? The bus or the truck? Question 2? Was it a head on collision? Question 3? Was any of the vehicles stationary before the accident (was the truck or bus parked along the highway infringing oncoming traffic?). Question 4: Was any other vehicle involved and or did any other incident lead to that accident?
I ask this because we are quick to assign blame to this truck drivers. Sometimes when i travel, it marvels me how some people manage to get home alive in this country. A lot of people have no regard for road signs, overspeed, overtake recklessly, drive too slowly, hug the speed lane and even the entire road, switch lanes without signaling and checking our sides and rear, brake unnecessarily because we couldn't anticipate, cut off other cars and trucks after overtaking (commercial buses love this) and reverse on the highway (YES! I have seen people do this), drive against traffic even when there was no authorized diversion e.t.c.
All I am trying to say is, let's not always be too hasty to lay blames on these truck drivers. They are actually better drivers than a lot of us. And to those saying they should be banned from the road during the day, Nigeria will grind to a halt the day that rule is passed. They move this economy. It's not just going to work.

Finally someone is looking at the fact of the incidence. Those that died have the same faith we have so it could have been any of us .

The question here is; if commuters stop getting into these buses as they did with the first generation of boxer buses , will that reduce the amount of carnage involving these buses?
