Being a potential parent, I am willing to hear from all the wonderful and responsible mothers, what their experience were as regards the maternity service rendered and prices charged by both the general and specialist hospitals during pregnancy stage.

With few under-funded government health centres and quite number of private and specialist hospitals, I can not but emphasise the need to render effective and quality health service at a minimal cost to the populace, especially pregnant and nursing mothers, in the country to reduce maternal mortality rate. The human personnel, equipment and facilities are integral part of cost expended by the hospital management which in turn determine how much patients are charged.

During pregnancy, how much were you charged for the maternity? Is it a government or privately owned hospital? Were you given payment options, instalment or full payment? How would you rate the service rendered? Was the money charged worth the service? Can you recommend such a facility to your pregnant love ones. These are questions begging for answers, which may be an eye opener to others, like me, who are getting ready for such an admirable and wonderful experience. May you all experience the joy and blessing of motherhood in your lives( AMEN).
