A showpiece is something which attracts attention or admiration as an outstanding example of it's kind presented for exhibition or display.
A masterpiece is referred to as a sculptor's or artist life achievement,the greatest of all work done throughout their career and it's a more outstanding creativity and surface of skill.
A showpiece is a work done and placed on display for people to look and admire while a masterpiece is not placed on display just anywhere but it's kept in a special place far from the crowd and it can only be seen by special and great people.
In humans today,a man with pride who boast about everything and nothing is a showpiece while a wise and humble man is a masterpiece,you don't need to flaunt all you got to prove who you are;who you are is so important than what you are,what you are is a boastful term to who you are while who you are humble represents what you are.
