Hi, I'm a Canadian who did some research in Angola on antimalarial affordability in drug shops/pharmacies. I'm curious what would be considered affordable prices for antimalarials in Nigeria.

Would 200 Naira for a children's antimalarial and 600 Naira for an adult's antimalarial be unaffordable for many people in Nigeria? I know there's cheaper antimalarials being sold, but I want to know at what point a drug would be considered affordable/unaffordable for the average person in Nigeria.

Thanks for you answers!

Well to some extent I think 200/600 is unaffordable especially as you rightly mentioned there are cheaper and effective brands already available.however,it may have an edge if the dosage is fewer

To an extent, an average Nigerian can afford 200naira worth of drug but 600 is on the high side.
From 100 down is ok for an average Nigerian while 400 upwards is on the high side averagely.
