The great university of benin a house to a host of faculties and as well the FACULTY of SOCIAL SCIENCES is under siege as students are airing their discontent over the just held SOSSA(social science students association)election.
today been 3rd sept 2015 just one day after the election which according to students was not free and fair due to the inconsistency in the counting of ballot papers and as well the hiding of an iron ballot box labelled SOCIAL WORKS which was not counted.
Pandemonium broke out this morning when an organized section of students reported the matter to the security office of the university and as well the DEAN of the FACULTY and up till now nothing is been said or done about it.
presently students are carrying placards and chanting solidarity songs in front of the DEANS office.
efforts to reach the dean for comments proved abortive.
