Please I will like to know if pressing of baby's navel with hot water or lantern really aid the healing of the navel and how long will it take the navel to completely heal. Thanks in anticipation.

Applying heat to that area helps a lot with the discomfort. Remember the baby has very delicate skin, so don't make the towel/hanky too hot when applying to the abdomen. Also, make sure that that area is not exposed to air . It takes longer for the wound to heal in males than females.
