shouldn't be any. As long as it fits and its the same rating.

You cannot replace a 20to axle with 15ton and not have problem if you overload. it might break

Thanks the two axle tonnage match. The fear we have is the gear box for the R model mack.CH mack trucks are faster moving trucks than R model trucks. we are contemplating on changing the the gear box to CH gear box

Gear ratio shouldn't be too much of a problem. Since the newer has a higher gear ratio than older one. U should be fine

Axle swap is quite common as long as the tonnage is put into consideration
