When God created the earth He commanded man to reign on the earth (Gen 1:28). The devil came with the intention of extending his reign on earth but man was in control. So the devil deceived man and took his authority. The devil reign on earth through death and sin. It was a reign of terror, the law of death is obnoxious, inhuman and enslaving. Under the devil's reign the fruits of human labor was rotten and the wages were unbearable. But yet the ruler of the world is not satisfied, he must bring his subject to total humiliation.

The evil doers were rewarded with a higher rank of enslavement and the righteous were hunted down and tortured. Justice was alien and evil trump over good, yes goodness was as scares as precious stones. Man struggled to take back his authority but he keep failing. He was helpless and so he cried out for help. God heard man's cry but there is nothing God can do to man or give man that would empower man to take back the authority himself. So God sent another man (1Cor 15:47).

This second man has what it takes, so he entered into a battle with the devil and "He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession." (Col 2:15)
After his victory he ascended to heaven and "The Lord [God] said to my Lord [Christ the second man], “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!" (Psa 110:1-2). Yes "Jesus Christ,... [is] the ruler over the kings of the earth.' (Rev 1:5).

Christ Jesus resurrected from death and sat on the thrown. He was enthroned by God Himself because he is the Anointed One (Messiah in Hebrew and Christ in Greek).
Now Jesus Christ is sitting "far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. All things were put under His feet, and he was made head over all things to the church" (Eph 1:20-22).

When the disciples realize Jesus enthronement they ran out into the street declaring that a new king is on the thrown and all are commanded to bow to him.

"Paul went to their meeting place, as he usually did when he came to a town, and for three Sabbaths running he preached to them from the Scriptures. He opened up the texts so they understood what they'd been reading all their lives: that the Messiah absolutely had to be put to death and raised from the dead—there were no other options—and that "this Jesus I'm introducing you to is that Messiah."... But the hard-line Jews became furious over the conversions. Mad with jealousy, they rounded up a bunch of brawlers off the streets and soon had an ugly mob terrorizing the city as they hunted down Paul and Silas. They broke into Jason's house, thinking that Paul and Silas were there. When they couldn't find them, they collared Jason and his friends instead and dragged them before the city fathers, yelling hysterically, "These people are out to destroy the world, and now they've shown up on our doorstep, attacking everything we hold dear! And Jason is hiding them, these traitors and turncoats who say JESUS IS KING AND CAESAR IS NOTHING!" (Acts 17:2-7 MSG)

Christ is already reigning but he is reigning through his church. He has already defeated the devil but for some reason he allows him to roam free. And the devil goes around gathering people and rebelling against Christ. But Christ have promise to crush the rebellion and alienate the devil and all those that supported him. So if you have team up with the devil leave now, abandon your master and save your self. God loves you and He has waited and hesitated to destroy the devil and his gang because He wants you to first come out from among them.

Leave now, don't waste anymore time, for judgment is coming upon the devil and it would consume you if you remain with him. Come under the reign of Christ, make Jesus your Lord and he shall be your saviour. This is not just for unbelievers but many believers have not fully submitted to the Lord. The Lord demand full submission. He demand that we stop eating with the devil - his enemy. So, Leave now and bow down with all that you are onto the Lordship of Christ.
