Job Title: Executive Assistant to the MD/CEO (Ref: EA/01)

Reporting to: MD/CEO

Location: Port Harcourt or Abuja

General Description
• Serve as right-hand person to the Executive across all job responsibilities
• Act as “face of the Executive” to critical internal (staff members) and external constituents (members, shareholders); professionally represent CEB in all external and internal in-person and/or telephone inquiries
• Prepare internal and external correspondence, memos, organizational charts and other documents; prepare for distribution (proofing, photocopying); manage incoming correspondence and documents as needed (sorting, filing)
• The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the Office of the CEO

Key Responsibilities
• Manages CEO's incoming information (e.g., email, written reports) including: reviewing correspondence to determine relative prioritization and recommended action and providing summaries and analysis for the CEO's consideration
• Central point of contact for Leadership Team issues.
• Manage the CEO’s calendar to ensure relevancy of meetings with respect to strategy and current issues.
• Provides meeting support to the CEO, including: Managing and coordinating all governance and operational aspects of the Executive Leadership Meetings, and Daily Calls e.g. management of agendas, taking notes and following up actions coming out of them, designing and developing appropriate material/slide-ware (talking points, briefing, etc) for use by the CEO at regular and ad-hoc meetings, seminars, public events, etc and participates in meetings on the CEO's behalf and provides summaries and observations for the CEO's consideration

• Ensures that there is a governance process for disciplined, timely decision-making on matters that significantly affect the Office of the CEO in terms of its: 1) P&L, 2) Balance Sheet, 3) FS Rating, 4) Reputation, 5) Powers Reserved, etc.
• Provides a conduit for the flow of information from the CEO to his management team, Board members and other interested stakeholders.
• Coordinates and manages all budgetary & related activity for the Office of the CEO to include budget submissions, and ongoing monitoring of expense reports, etc.

Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree
• 15-20 years business management experience required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required

General Description:
• The Chief Operating Officer drive the company’s performance and achieve sustainable profit and growth, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by the board of the Company and the Chief Executive Officer
• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will also be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the company and will manage Technical, Human Resources, Health Safety and Environment, Supply Chain, Legal and Information Technology groups.

Leadership
• Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Group’s business operations and ensure efficient use and management of resources towards achievement of the Group’s corporate goals

Strategy

Communication and reporting

• To report to the board regularly on the operation of the Company’s businesses both at board meetings and at other times
• Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly and year-end reports including development of management dashboard
Technical
• Ensure that electrical construction projects and other projects are optimally designed, executed monitored and commissioned within budget and time frame according to international standards and world class engineering operational strategy and practice

Requirement:
• MBA from reputed Institute.
• Engineering degree will be an advantage.
• Over 20 years of related working experience, Experience should include planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring and cash flow management of complex construction projects.
• Training and certification on Project Management, CAD and Microsoft Office/Prima Vera (PMO) will be an advantage.
• Have a good understanding of the application of JIT, 6-Sigma or other methodologies for constant improvement in speed, reliability and quality in delivering of projects.
• Good understanding of the development and application of standards, processes and procedures.

• Ensuring all projects to be delivered within budget and time schedule according to world-class standards and ensuring establishment of world class Engineering & Operational strategy and practices.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Taking charge of delivery of the entire technical and operational functions (design, engineering, tendering, project management) of Transmission (extra high voltage & high voltage) and distribution construction projects, and utility system and other large construction projects that have significant electrical engineering components.
• Managing the effective utilization of company’s resources and assets for project success with profit margin.
• Planning, budgeting, coordinating, executing, monitoring, controlling and close up of all projects exceeding the satisfaction of customers.
• Utilization of modern machinery, equipment, tools and techniques for cost effectiveness, timely completion of the projects and quality compliance.
• Implementing Total Quality Management System and 6-Sigma System for maintaining world class quality standard.
• Coordination with Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Utility Divisions / Subsidiary companies including IPP Business.
• Developing new products and services through Research and acquisition of new technology, process, methodology and equipment/tools for company’s diversification and sustainable growth.
• Rendering Technical consultancy services on commercial basis.

Requirement
• Graduate, Electrical Engineer.
• An MBA and a higher electrical engineering degree will be an advantage.
• Minimum experience of 20 years out of which 5 years should have been managing a large electrical engineering construction department or division. Experience should include planning, budgeting , executing, monitoring and cash flow management of complex projects
• Qualified in any advanced project management technique for managing multiple projects.
• Has undergone training on Project Management, CAD and Microsoft Office/Prima Vera (PMO)
• Must be member of a professional engineering body; COREN, NSE, IEE etc.
• Ability to ensure compliance to system and procedures, yet innovative and have the passion to be part of a world-class company.

Job Title: Senior Services Manager (Ref: SSO/04)

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer/MD

General Description:
• The SSO will take overall responsibility of Supply Chain Management (Purchasing, Logistics, Materials and Inventory Management (Warehousing) and Import Clearance), Human Resource Management, General Administration, IT Services and Health/Safety/Environment (HSE) in compliance with world class standards.
• All the above supporting services to be delivered within the budget and time schedule so that all electrical construction projects are effectively and successfully executed in conformity with best operational practices.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Taking charge of the following departments and developing and implementing, Plans Policies, Strategies and Procedures to provide supporting service across the company with profit margin.
o Purchasing – import and local purchase complying with modern tools and techniques emphasizing standard costs, quality and timely delivery.
o Logistics and assets management – effectively and efficiently managing equipment and materials delivery and mobilization to support the line managers to complete their projects on schedule; ensuring, maintaining and caring the assets and facilities in good working order and condition for effective utilization.
o Materials inventory management and warehousing – ensuring the availability of materials, spares and equipment to meet the operational needs by implementing cost effective inventory management system.
o Import clearance – ensuring timely release of imported materials and equipment from ports with proper liaison with the shipper and customs so that the demurrage wharfage charges are reduced to zero.
o General administration – responsible for providing, maintaining and coordinating general administrative support, ensuring discipline.
o Information technology (IT) services – responsible for providing it support (hardware and software in compliance with states-of-the-art-technology including multi-functional, multi-dimension and multi-locational facilities without system interruption and disruption.
o HSE – responsible for managing health, safety and environment issues of the company.
• Managing the effective utilization of company’s resources and assets for project success of generation, transmission, distribution, utility and other projects with profit margin.

Requirement
• MBA from a reputed Institute and Engineering degree will be an advantage.
• A higher engineering degree will be an advantage.

Job Title: Human Resource Manager (Ref: HRM/05)

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer/MD

General Description:
• The Human Resources Manager is responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company. The successful candidate will be an experienced H.R. generalist, responsible for:
o Performance management and improvement systems
o policy development and documentation
o Recruitment and selection of employees
o Developing and maintaining benefit programs
o Conducting new employee orientation
o Enhancing and maintaining compensation program
o Preparation of wage surveys as requested by executive management

Requirements

o Three to eight years’ human resources or related experience desired. Experience in a unionized operation required. General business computer skills. Contract administration experience is preferred. Familiarity with plant operation, corporate procedures and policies required.
o Successful candidates will possess a strong presence, sense of urgency and ownership, You will have demonstrated the ability to counsel both employees and managers effectively, possess strong HR generalist skills & employment law skills, proven success in safety, health and workers’ compensation management.

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development.
• Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
• Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and labor relations, preferred.
• Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement, preferred.
• Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Human Resources Management.
