Report reaching us now has it that a Nigerian Professsor, Prof. Tijjani El-Miskin of the University of Maiduguri is amongst those killed in the Mecca Satmpede. Unitl his death Prof. Tijjani El-Miskin is of the department of Islamic Studies.

He went to undertake his religious duty and died in the stampede that erupted during the ritual of the symbolic stoning the devil.
