Any OAU medical student around? I'm planning to transfer to OAU this session into 300l. I'm currently a student of Bowen university and i just finished 200l. Please keep it in mind that I did JUPEB(a levels), not normal 100l. So my first real session as a medical student was this 200l. Is it possible to transfer? What do I need? Also bear in mind that I only currently have my gst results. The results of the in-courses we wrote this session won't be out till next session.

In Bowen, the JUPEB program runs from September to June. The fee is 450,000. You'll be given your hostel. The fee DOES NOT include feeding or books. It also does not include the JAMB registration fee or JUPEB registration fee .You'll handle all those ones yourself. You're advised to write JAMB again. So essentially, the 450k is just for tuition and hostel. When you finish, you're offered automatic admission to Bowen university, but the course you'll be given will depend on the points you get in the JUPEB exam. For instance, if you get 14, and the cut off for medicine is 13, you will be given medicine. However, if you get 12, you'll be given physiology. If 11, anatomy...You're treated like normal students of Bowen so you're expected to dress corporately and stuff. You'll be given an id card later in the program. If you're a science student, you need a lab coat (900 in Bowen), a graph book (150 in Bowen) and maybe a drawing book for biology. If you're writing JAMB, get your pq before coming. You're only getting Christmas and Easter break. If you need any other info, mention me. Good luck.

I don't think oau will accept jupeb students from other institution.
So even with all these strikes u still dey choose adaniduro uni? Smh

Many aspirants have been wondering how the universities would use their utme score to get their aggregate score....many have concluded that they would increase the utme cutoff to 250,280 or whatsoever. But this is not the case.
It is your O'level results that would be used to get your cutoff
:C6 - 2pt, c5 - 4pt, c4- 6pt b3- 8pt B2- 10pt A1-12pt
For the 5 O'level subjects required for your course.
Each grade would be represent a point (refer to the quoted text) above.
*How to calculate your aggregate score*
1. Sum up all the points corresponding to the grades you have in your o'level
2. Divide your utme score by 8
3. Sum up 1 and 2.
4. Divide by 110
5. Multiply by 100

*Example*
Utme score- 230
O level results-. A1,B2,B3,C4 and C6
1. 230÷8= 29
2. A1= 12 points
B2= 10 points
B3= 8 points
C4= 6 points
C6= 2 points
Total= 38 points
3. 29+38=67
4. 67/110= 0.61
5. 0.61* 100= 61%
