Total Lunar Eclipses, known popularly as Blood Moons, are even more rare. They happen only during a Full Moon, & only when the Sun, Earth, & Moon are precisely aligned so that our planet's shadow completely blankets the Moon's disk. This
usually happens only twice a year, & can be seen from only one hemisphere of the Earth.
Everyone with clear skies across the hemisphere will see a rare Super Blood Moon.
On the 3:11 Am of September 28th, three separate lunar events converge. The Moon is at its closest approach to Earth for the year, making it also a SuperMoon. That's why it's being coined by some as a Super Blood Moon.
This confluence has happened only 5 times since 1900. According to NASA, the last time it appeared was in 1982, & after this one, it
won't repeat until 2033.
The Moon will dip into the deepest & darkest part of Earth's shadow, which turns an eerie Red & will last as long as 72 minutes.
This month's Blood Moon will be the last in a series of 4 Lunar Eclipses, over the last 2 years. That pattern won't repeat for another
20 years or so.
This month's eclipse is even more special because the lunar disk will appear slightly larger than usual.
Can I see The Blood Moon(Lunar Eclipse) ?
Yes! Only, Eastern North America will see the phases of the Blood Moon. South America, Europe, & most Africa(West Africa) can watch during early morning hours(3:11 Am) local time on Monday the 28th.
Lunar Eclipses are safe to watch with the Unclad eye unlike the Solar Eclipse. But no one can predict exactly what color we will
see before each eclipse.
So, if you miss watching this eclipse, then you have to wait for more 18 years ahead if
Christ tarries to come!
