A graduate of Accountancy, Nnamdi Ugwuoke,who was arrested by the police for snatching a carat gunpoint, has advised youths to wait for God’s time.Ugwuoke, 32, a native of Nsukka in Enugu State, is married with four kids.The suspected car snatcher blamed bad friends, particularly one Remy, who had been on the run,for introducing him to armed robbery.Ugwuoke, who vowed never to get involved in crime again if he was let off the hook by the police, pleaded for forgiveness and advised youthsto always be patient and wait for God’s time.Regretting his actions, he noted that he would nothave ventured into crime had he waited on God, saying, “God’s time is the best. If I had been patient and waited for God’s time, I would not have involved myself in this act of criminality,” the arrested car snatcher said.Before venturing into criminal activities, including cultism, armed robbery and car snatching, Ugwuoke was a notable shoe dealer in the Nsukka area of the state.However, the quest to make it big led him to crime, culminating in his arrest by the police in Anambra State on September 23, 2015.It was gathered that, earlier on that day, Ugwuoke, and his friend who was simply identified as Remy, had snatched a Toyota Highlander with registration Number LND 405 DG, from a victim at Nsukka, in Enugu State.Unluckily for Ugwuoke, he was nabbed by the operatives of the Anaku Division of the Anambra State Police Command while moving the car to a place known as ‘33’ near Onitsha, Anambra State, where a prospective buyer was waiting to receive the stolen vehicle.The spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said the police were on the trail of other members of Ugwuoke’s gang,who were currently at large.Amaraizu added that before his arrest, Ugwuokehad previously been arrested for unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.The state police spokesman said the suspect was arraigned in court over the previous offence.
