Hironobu Sakaguchi, the legendary creator of the Final Fantasy series, has announced that he will present his new videogame on June 22nd, during an event that will be streamed online through Famitsu Niconico. Nobuo Uematsu, composer of the most iconic themes of the Final Fantasy games will also be present at this event, which probably indicates that he is involved in the project.

For the past two years, Sony has decided to skip the
European videogame fair Gamescom to focus instead on the
two events that happen in the months before and after in
the year: E3 and their own PlayStation Experience. However,
in a conversation to Gamereactor, Sony’s global sales and
marketing chief Jim Ryan says that the company is
considering going back to Gamescom this year.

Two of the major Japanese game developers, Capcom and Bandai Namco, have announced an agreement that will allow both companies to collaborate in future developments with the objective of improving the user experience, reducing development costs, and ultimately, make use of all of their patents to “deliver even more exciting content” in games like Street Fighter.
The announcement seems a little vague on the details, but basically both companies agree to share resources and knowledge to offer better online services and improve the development process of their titles. The most exciting part is probably the mention of making use of each other’s properties, which will likely lead to new guest appearances in form of DLCs, or the development of full crossover games.

Late last year, Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno announced to Capcom fans on Twitter that he has been working on a new project and fans would be able to hear about it in 2017. However, more than half of 2017 has gone by since his announcement and there is still no word about his project — that is, until now.

In a recent tweet, Itsuno apologized to fans for his game’s
lack of appearance at E3 this year.

“I’m sorry I didn’t announce anything at E3,” Itsuno said. “My project is progressing smoothly, so please look forward to the announcement.”

release in 2016 for PC. Fast forward a year later and that
release has been pushed to this August with the team
shooter now launching on PlayStation 4 and PC. Many Xbox
fans felt slighted by this considering LawBreakers Director
Cliff Bleszinski created the Xbox exclusive Gears of War
series. While Bleszinski has stated multiple times on Twitter
that the studio would not rule out an eventual Xbox One
release at some point in the future, he clarified his decision
to release it on PlayStation 4 first in an interview with IGN.

“Xbox fanboys got really salty at me on Twitter, like, ‘It’s like
you’re turning your back on the box that built your career
with Gears. And I’m like, not necessarily, because my first
priority to me is my employees. I have 65 employees, many
of whom have families, and I need to keep the lights on.
When we looked at the fact that we could only ship on one
console initially, PlayStation has the huge install base. That
doesn’t mean that we can’t do an Xbox version later, or Xbox XOXO, or whatever they’re calling it these days. I wouldn’t rule it out,” said Bleszinski.

has presented his two new projects that has been
developing under his independent studio, Mistwalker. The
two games are Terra Battle 2 and Terra Wars, which are both part of the newly named Terra World series, which has its origin in the 2014 game for mobile Terra Battle. Just like the original, the two new entries will be released on iOS,
