By Ogbonna Stephen Okechukwu. Chelsea football club has issued an official statement on its website backing the clubs manager, Jose Mourinho. The statement which was issued at 2pm today reads: “The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support. As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team’s performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it.” Recall that mourinho had earlier on challenged the board to back him or sack him after his team lost 3-1 to Southampton during the weekend.
