Imagine that jumia post this on sale;

A pot of egusi soup with Bush meat @#7000.
A pot of egusi soup with goat meat @ #6000.
A pot of egusi soup with cow meat @ #5000.
Place order and delivery will be made in an hour.

This is posible considering the fact that our ladies now work long hours.

Can you place order for this?

OP, if you are looking for business ideas, lemme give you because I have thought of this before:

Let the dishes be cooked according to the customer's specification:
When they come in, they place an order by filling a form, submit the form and their food warmer, pay, come back and carry their food. kiss

If for instance, the customer wants egwusi soap, let the form have things like:
Do you want it with meat or fish?
Goat, chicken, beef, pork etc?
How many kilos of meat?
What quantity of egwusi?
Which vegetables? Onugbu, ugu etc
What ingredients? Knorr, star etc
How chilly do you want it? Hot, very hot, no pepper at all etc.
Any allergies?...

Be as flexible as possible to accommodate many categories of customers, make the forms very detailed. Of course, the charge should be based on what is filled out in the form.

If only I can see a restaurant that can to do with Moi-moi for me wink

Potential customers are:
Newly weds
Families with tight working schedule
Husband and wife works full time
Pregnant or sick women whose husbands cannot cook.
Elderly women that need less running around
Those organizing family get-together
Those that have just moved in newly into town or area.
Lazy housewives.
Office party.
Parents going on "visiting day"
And many more.

OP, God bless your hussle kiss

On jumia? That's ridiculous.

Grow a little customer base around you, make them trust you and from there, create your own app.

Before you know it, news may spread and you just might be the next "big thing"...

Goodluck...

Can you place order for this?

In a heartbeat... I don't cook everyday besides for kids and their meals are easy pissy compared to complex naija meals.

We do that here too.. So No biggie
E.g A bowl of pap and dozen balls of akara is $10 and that's just one serving.

I haven't tried ordering nig cooked food maybe if I'm living in Texas. I do my cooking during the weekend...2 kinds of stews and beans or moimoi. Lunch at work is salad and sandwich with yogurt. Saturday is grabbing whatever chops or if i feel like it, I make nig soup...once in blue moon kinda. Sunday is dining out.

If only I can see someone to do that for me here.

OP I'd order that especially with the goat meat, add lots of stock fish and dry fish and Pomo.

There's this lady I follow on Instagram that does it for her U.K. Neighbors.
Sometimes I wish I can order from her all the way from here grin

Flyca nice one. wink

Kudos jare ....I cook a lot too but try to slow down every now and then.

I married a special man, he wastes every leftover food so I don't make bigger portions like most housewives do. 2 days max and he's done with it.

Infact I ordered a large tin foil of Dodo and 4dozen of Meatpies for a party last weekend , just $140. You get a discount if you supply a box of plantain and 4 litres of canola oil( $30).

Stress wrinkles a once-baby-butt-face my sister. and prevention is better than 2 miracle set in a month. Not our portion IJN. grin

Isn't that better than be struggling doing it yourself all the time like it is going out of fashion cooking our so call healthy nig food. Not my portion jare, amen grin
Hey babes, I'm ordering steaks and mashed potatoes cheesy for dinner. Alright honey booboo cheesy
Doing cooking yourself all the time is not realistic.
Some people would have done the Meatpies themselves in order to save money. Ha, I should be napping or re-watching 50 shades of grey not cooking.

This is a good business idea. It would sell greatly even though some homes have cooks...

People would like to buy in bulk instead of per serving..

Op, don't be surprised if anyone starts this business before you. . Nairaland is large grin cheesy

Every now and then, the pressure of work get so much on the missus and I that we end up with nothing left at home. So we walk into one shoprite nearby that stocks frozen soups and stews, buy a few and take home till we can get round to making ours. So I definitely would.

And for some silly objectors, don't you eat out? Do you know what Iya Basira puts into her cooking at that joint? Pleeeaase. Hipocritical bullshnitzle
