Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer

Job Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for defining and driving marketing goals that support the overall Mallboxes strategy; lead and inspire a team that understands how their work aligns to and impacts marketing and Mallboxes goal, grow brand reach with specific purpose to “Intent to purchase” and spend, design and maintain a superior customer experience which evokes and emotional connection, and drive traffic and new customer growth.

Executive Leadership and Partnership

• Provide leadership, strategy and guidance to executive conversations which drive organic and non-organic growth of the MallforAfrica brand.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in managing marketing funds, with specialized attention in driving traffic to mallforafrica.com and pickup centers and optimizing revenue from existing customers
• Collaborate with multiple intradepartmental and cross-functional partners in driving, reporting and increasing traffic to the MallforAfrica website.
• Support the Mallboxes Vision of Customer Centricity by always keeping the customer first i.e. always using the customer “lens” as it relates to the MallforAfrica Lover experience.
• Support the Mallboxes Vision and Values by driving business processes and focuses which ensure Mallboxes is a great place to work; help identify challenges and emerging issues facing the organization
Brand Growth
• Define, articulate and implement Precision Media Strategy including tactics, processes, technologies, data capture, reporting and measurement tools, internal and external partnerships
• Optimize digital marketing, dvertising and media spend which increase Mallboxes profits and ensures Mallboxes delivers the right message to the right prospective customer at the right time
• Lead Media, team, and agencies that oversight of traditional media buying and placement agencies; includes oversight of non-paid media strategies.

Customer Engagement:

• Lead Customer Experience team which is responsible for a superior customer experience which cuts across all customer touch points including social, mallforafrica.com and Customer Service Centers.
• Lead Customer Segmentation and Advanced Analytic Teams to optimize customer database and create cross-functional business insights which create additional business value.

Strategic Planning

• Develop and refine the marketing strategies that drive demand and enhance the brand for our products. Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
• Have primary responsibility for all aspects of market and client research including the identification of research needs, the interpretation of market research studies and data.
• Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
Oversee marketing Activities
• Responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of all tradeshow activities to include all show services
• Oversee the development of marketing and advertising communication projects, including: sales tools, marketing collateral, advertisements, corporate communications, and content development
Sales and Client Support
• Assist members of our sales team on calls and visits with prospects when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.

Job Summary

The COO will work closely with the Managing Director and is responsible for providing leadership for the company’s operations as well as achieving operating and financial objectives, overseeing the quality of services, overseeing and executing all projects including; improving ongoing financial growth and responding to industry needs. The COO will focus on bringing continuous improvement and best practice into the company.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Leadership:

• Develop for corporate approval: Strategy business objectives, budgets, policies and plans which will achieve company growth and profitability goals.
• Communicate business objectives and plans within the company.
• Ensure that plans and policies are consistently understood, correctly interpreted and administered by subordinate managers
• Set the tone for the company's relationships with its employees, vendors, customers through policy statements, management actions and written/verbal communication
• Instill at all levels of operations (from the janitor to department heads) the philosophy of continuous improvement. Facilitate a process so that all employees understand what this philosophy is, how they can participate, and that it is an ongoing part of their job.
• The following key metrics should be targeted for implementation and continuous improvement: Bookings, profit margins, operating expenses, cash flow, On Time Delivery, lead times, quality.
• Attract, hire, train, develop and direct a staff of professional managers to oversee each of their specific areas of responsibility to achieve company goals and objectives.


Management

• Direct and oversee all operations to achieve planned performance goals
• Ensure that each department is properly organized, staffed, and directed to fulfill its responsibilities

Must Have Qualifications

• At least 3 Years of senior operations experience in e-commerce
• At least 10 years of proven success in a senior management role in achieving substantial improvements in business operations resulting in significant and steady increases in profitability over the course of several reporting periods

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in an e- commerce business with headcount in excess of 60 people
• A minimum of 15 years of general management experience as well as strong financial implications experience within preferably, e-commerce businesses and proven vertical growth with prior P & L responsibilities. Must have demonstrated success at managing all functions including finance, HR, sales & marketing, customer service, quality, and information Technology
• Demonstrated experience with accountability for managing profitable growth required, along with a thorough understanding of today’s business principles. Must be very comfortable with accounting and financial concepts
• Knowledge in supply chain functions including purchasing,, order fulfillment, and shipping
• Strong knowledge of and experience with planning and budgeting
• Business degree
