Op there is nothing wrong with the picture, the moon is just another planetary body with hydrostatic equilibrum under its own gravity only that it is in orbit around a planet and not a direct orbit round the sun . the same way you see the moon from here is the same way the earth is seen from the moon ... You can also see venus, mars,;jupiter from here on earth. the same way we have moon rises here is the same way it is called earth rise on the moon. ....the object there in the picture is planet earth... first and second pic is the earth from the moon. third is the earth and the moon onba close up photograph together.. 1 Like
