"I always want more. I know I am the only one to have four but I want more. That implies winning trophies with the world's greatest club".

"This year will be no different and we want to win La Liga, the Cup and the Champions League. I hope we see each other again next year."

Those are the words of C. Ronaldo while receiving His fouth European Golden Boot.

Cristiano Ronaldo finished his superb individual season with a hat-trick in Real Madrid’s 7-3 win over Getafe in the final round of the Primera Division’s 2014/2015 season. This hat-trick, which was Ronaldo’s third in his last six matches, means the Portuguese finishes the season five goals and 10 points ahead of Lionel Messi in the race for the 2014/15 Golden Boot. Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero confirmed third place, scoring during Premier League’s final round win against Southampton.
Golden Boot standings are calculated using a formula. Each European league is given a difficulty coefficient between 1.0 and 2.0, which is then used to multiply number of goals for each player to provide total points. Because of that coefficient, one goal for Cristiano Ronaldo in Primera Division is worth more than one goal for let’s say, Eran Zahavi in the Israeli Premier League.

Ronaldo's 48 goals won him the Pichichi Trophy, which is awarded to Primera Division best goal scorer, and he ended the season with 61 goals in all competitions. But beside from marginal victories in the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, he has no trophies to go with his sensational form in front of goal.
Same thing cannot be said for the second-placed Lionel Messi who won another La Liga title with Barcelona. While the Argentinian hasn’t been quite as productive in goal scoring as his arch-rival this season, he has been the engine of the Barca’s superb form since New Year. For Messi, a historic treble is much more an achievement.

Ronaldo is level with Raul in Madrid's all-time leading scorer charts with 323 goals and has the chance to surpass the Spaniard when Levante travel to the Bernabeu on Saturday.

Sergio Aguero finished third with 26 goals as he missed some of the matches in Premier League due to injury while young stars of La Liga Antoine Griezmann and Neymar finished with 22 goals each. Tottenham’s Harry Kane finished in the Top 10 after exploding this season while the rest of the strikers from the Golden Boot’s Top 10 – Jackson Martinez of Porto, Jonatan Soriano from Red Bull Salzburg, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Eran Zahavi from Maccabi Tel Aviv will definitely hope their goals attract big European clubs this summer.
