An Australian fast-food chicken franchise called "Chicken Treat" has revealed that it has a chicken running its twitter account.The chicken's name is Betty and they revealed that they placed a computer in her coop.

Betty the chicken is quite active online and has taken control of the Chicken Treat’s Twitter account for the last week. She forms the tweets, mostly nonsensical words and characters, as she pecks at or walks over the keyboard.

This, however, is a marketing stunt. The company will continue this exercise until Betty successfully tweets a five-letter word in English, which will earn her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

She made progress on Thursday when she typed “bum” which was close but that didn’t award her the title.

If only Betty knew she was working to promote a firm that exists to execute and barbecue her kith and kin for human consumption.
