We are always eager to watch them, read about them in the news, learn from them as well because they are celebrities. Idyllically, it is supposed to be about their exploit in their different area of human effort, be it acting and drama, music, or comedy
All eyes are on them as most of them appears on the front page of magazines issues, cover of gossip columns in the newspaper, daily gist and various TV channels in Africa and across the globe. In this article, we bring to your reading pleasure, some of the most troublesome nigerian entertainers / celebrities we have in the Nigeria entertainment industry who have adopted scandal, controversy as their second character or let me call it nature. The list goes thus:

1. DAVIDO
Born David Adeleke, “Davido” is a son of a very wealthy businessman and philanthropist and and from the onset, he hardly pretend about his status as he fondly call himself OBO which means Omo Baba Olowo (Son of a wealthy man). His first hit track titled ‘Dami Duro’ cleared any doubts from people’s minds that he comes from a rich and well-to-do family.

Shortly after his popularity as an established artiste, Davido began swimming in pools of controversy like an Olympic-grade athlete.
According to a reports, the pop acts fought with bouncers and security men at a show he was invited to. Some Weeks after that, he was alleged for beating up a taxi-driver who offended him by bringing up his girlfriend to a hotel when he was already there with another girl. After those incidence which happened in Lagos, he took the drama to the Federal Capital Territory when he was beaten blue-black by a team of mobile policemen for his perceived rudeness and arrogance.

His nonstop skirmishes hurt his public profile, and this conceivably explains why his former young manager, Asa Asika, was sacked at the instance of his father. Davido has grown significantly calmer, as we haven’t read much scandal about him lately. The last news about him was that of his new born baby with his lover, while another girl is waiting in the wings, claiming that she’s also carrying his baby.

2. WIZKID
Starboy Wizkid as he call himself was quite young when he came to limelight and ever since his breakout, the world has connected so much innocence to him.

But years along the line, it seems the talented afro-pop singer is hell-bent on creating an opposed impression in the minds of his admirers.
He has fought with most of the people he came up with such as his former label boss, Banky W, ex-label mate Skales and talented producer Samklef who produced most of his tracks in Super Star Album. Some time ago, he also threatened to beat up a female artiste, Saeon, who featured him on a track.

As if that’s not enough, the level at which he reacts and communicate with his fans is very bad. It was reported that he poured his drink in the face of a fan who wanted to greet him in a club. This is just as he allegedly asked a female fan to bare her boobs before he would grant her request for an autograph. In addition, he has been involved in innumerable spats with fans on social media, even as some show organizers and promoters accused him of collecting money for a show, and refusing to show up for the event.

3. TONTO DIKEH
Nollywood queen, Tonto Dikeh is the 3rd on the list of the most troublesome nigerian entertainers. It is obvious the nollywood actress is popular for her controversies and scandals than any role she has ever played.

With the reports of fighting with many of her colleagues which includes Ghanaian Van Vicker, Halima Abubakar, Mercy Johnson, among others. She is branded not to suffer fools with pleasure, and she doesn’t accept any form of criticism, whether constructive or otherwise. When she released two songs in 2012, she took time to reply every one of the insults she received from many of her fans when they expressed displeasure about her poor standard of composing songs and not just an insult, she even threaten them.

She always generate one drama or the other on her Twitter handle as if that is what the social plaftform website is meant for, and this make her handle to be the destination of choice of many journalists and entertainment bloggers. For Tonto Dikeh, controversy is like air which she can’t do without. Recently, it was reported that she got engaged to her new boyfriend.

4. JIM IYKE
The self-acclaimed bad boy of Nigerian film industry, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, better known as Jim Iyke, is an alleged karate specialist, and he hardly ever hesitates to exhibit his expertise and ability. He has reportedly involved in spats with so many of his colleagues in the industry such as Emeka Ike, (AY Makun)AY the comedian, Uti Nwachukwu and numerous others.

Not only he has had issues with colleagues, journalist has also shared from the spat. He has been in the news for beating up the women he dates. This is even as he is trailed by allegations of defrauding his lovers, both emotionally and financially.
The internet and several other media are stuffed with stories of Jim’s escapades both in Nigeria and other African countries.

5. EMEKA IKE
Wrapping up the first list of the most troublesome nigerian entertainers is that Lagos Born actor, Emeka Ike. Just like Jim Iyke, Emeka is also tagged one of the bad boy in the nigeria movie industry. Emeka Ike was a regular staple in home videos some years ago when he was usually cast as a lover-boy, but these days, he is more popular for his battles with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). Emeka Ike was a regular attach in home videos some years ago when he usually play the role of a lover-boy, but these days, he is more popular for his battles with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

He filed a law suit against the election that brought in Ibinabo Fiberesima in, as president of the guild, and his prayers were finally answered in March 2015 when a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos nullified the election. Prior to that, Emeka got into trouble with the landlord of the building in which his St. Nicholas College was sited, who went to court to kick him out. He was accused of not paying for the property, not taking care of the school building, and also owing his largely unqualified teachers a backlog of salaries.

This is in toting up to the fight between him and his wife, who reportedly went to court to file for divorce from the actor on the allegations that he had willy-nilly turned her into a punching bag.
