Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2: 8, that the "Rulers of this Age" or the "Princes of this World" crucified Jesus. But Who are they?

1 Corinthians 2: 8

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Young's literal Translation

which no one of the rulers of this age did know, for if they had known, the Lord of the glory they would not have crucified;

So, according to Paul, Who crucified Jesus?

I'm sometimes amazed at your poor understanding of even the little matters of scriptures,but then it goes to prove that you're spiritually blind and need to be led,or better still taken to Christ for Him to open your eyes and give you eternal life.The rulers of the age/the princes of the world are the people in authority,the people in government,the leaders.They were involved among others, in the crucifixion.They included the likes of Herod and Pilate(who represented the ruling Roman world empire) and the rulers of the Jews.
