if you can't detect it, then a clean job was done so go for the car. But the easiest route is know the model of the car and where it was brought in from and the kind of hand package they use there eg France Britain etc use right hand.

Look at the positioning of the gear lever/handbrake. However, some cars irrespective of driving position have them permanently positioned.

U can detect it with the interchange position of the wiper and indicator control lever.

You can detect it by checking the wipers. If the driver side of the wiper is somewhat shorter than the passenger side then it means that the car was converted, originally, from RHD to LHD.
