Hi webmasters, am a bit new in all this..
I created a support blog few weeks ago on google's blogger.com, and am thinking of using a dot tk domain name for the blog on an ephemeral basis (forwarding purpose), and i happen to read some reviews on google and i came across posts where people complain of having their domain stolen by dot tk and amongst other shady undertakings by the host site, here is my thoughts, if i were to use a dot tk for my blog it should be safe, right? since its just for forwarding purpose? and i might be wrong but i should be able to move to a .com in future without dot tk's permission, is this right also?

Don't use .tk for your blog. Ask yourself, have you used .com? .co.uk, .com.ng? .ng? .net? and so many others. Are you planning to use .tk because it is free? Free things don't last. Take my word.

We can register (.com)and host your website for you. That is our job. Send your email and also call: 08164020207 . Godaddy doesn't accept all card.

Go to domainking and buy a domain name from them. It's around N1500 or so. I think they have their official thread here on Nairaland.

You'll need to generate CNAME records by entering the newly purchased domain name in your blogger dashboard, the CNAME records are what you'll use to link the blog with the domain name in your domain name account.

Any serious blogger should get .com domain name. It is less than 2k/year for God's sake!
