Following Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Swaziland, Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo is confident Nigeria can defeat Egypt when the sides meet in the 2017 Afcon qualifier next year as long as the team continues to improve.

The striker led the Eagles’ attack in a very difficult game for the hosts at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

Moses Simon and Efe Ambrose ensured Nigeria advanced to the final round of the qualifying and Ighalo maintains that the team’s response with them stuck between a rock and a hard place was key and must be improved on still to stand a chance against the 7-time African champions.
