Can there ever be a nexus between what matters to a customer service personnel and that of the customer?

The possibilities of putting a 50/50 balance is really not possible but the CSO should always be on the bigger win side if only you know what you and the customer wants

Customer: what matters

Efficient customer service
Low priced products;
High quality products.
quick resolution to problems

CSO: what matters

Having a friendly, positive attitude
Responding promptly to questions and requests
Being consistent and straightforward
Treating customers like people, not numbers
Having the knowledge, skills, and resources to resolve the issue at hand
Communication — someone who really listens to you and understands your concerns (this was the most important thing of all)

THE POSSIBLE NEXUS LIES DEEP IN RECIPROCITY:

A customer works into your store, office, firm, shop, etc; that's a very nice gesture that must be returned either as loud as a trumpet or in calm silence...... and always remember this

Both types of reciprocity create an emotional connection with the customer, such that they feel a subconscious need to reciprocate the gesture.

Reciprocity is what motivates customers to send a tweet, share their experience with a friend or continue doing business with you over time as a loyal customer.
