A TYPICAL IBIBIO MAN

A typical Ibibio man can be found in South-South Nigeria, he is related to An Anang and Efik man in tribe, he is from Akwa Ibom State.

The Ibibio's are very hardworking, their men are upright and loving, but they are few other negative lifestyles identified as the way some Ibibio men behave.

Highlighting this few lifestyles, the following may be the most glaring bad behaviors from them.

He is one of those men that have issues with anger, he will throw a bowl of soup at his wife when the soup contains no meat and fish inside even when he did not give the wife enough money to cook a befitting soup.

He is plaque with a small syndrome 'etok etok' syndrome such that everything about him evolves around him, his wife and children, a small house a small car and a small job.

He doesn't like taking risk in life. The highest foray he can make in terms of business is to own a small Hotel, employ a few relatives, owes them salary while he has a special room in that Hotel to frolic with small girls younger than his last daughter.

He loves sex, alcohol especially 'Akai Kai'( dry gin ) and prefers reading the bogus headlines from the popular warp editorials (Glo**l Con***d).

He is bossy and boastful. He wants all his relatives and subordinate to be answerable to his calling, wash his clothes, wash his cars and clean up his house.

Even when he has the capacity to connect his relatives to having jobs, he refuses to do so because he enjoys the attitude of begging from them while he gives them a little stipend to go home with and feed their family.

These are the few highlights of the negative lifestyles of some Ibibio men.

This piece of write up is not in any form to denigrate the Ibibio man, it is an exposé of the numerous weaknesses of some Ibibio men. It will only inform some of us born and raised within the Ibibio land and culture to refrain from falling into these negative conventional life styles, so that the future generation Ibibio men will be a better Ibibio men.

A typical Ibibio woman coming soon......Stay tuned
