Jumia 2015 Black Friday Sales A Scam by luluosas(m): 8:33am On Nov 27, 2015
The 2015 Jumia Black Friday Sales was a big scam, as their Nigerian website across all channels became offline after few hours of starting the scam sales. Meanwhile, their subsidiaries across other African countries are still up and running while the Nigerian site is still offline as I am typing this now.

This is the scam of the 21st century. I wonder while Jumia chose to play with our intelligence.

Well, I'll say it's partly a scam because most of those products may not be available but their server cannot handle real time transaction traffic
It means they anticipated such issues and are taking its advantage
If you check a product initially, it may be out of stock and the next refreshing of the page will be available but to check out the order will now reveal the product is sold out
They'd have gotten a better server to avoid the incoherences but just wanted to take people's advantage
