The need for improved technology in a nation can never be over-emphasized. It would be salient to make this point very clear that technology is not the solution to our 21st century education, technology is merely a tool to aid education and learning, technology on the other hand should not be taught as a separate schools subject, rather as a tool, technology should be used in all classrooms.

Another issue tackling technology at the moment is the poor investment in such technology without the support and consultation from and by experts. You might not have noticed, but schools are actually spending much more money on technology but they don’t know what it's for how to use it. And because they spent so much money on the technology they lack in spending more money on training teachers properly on how to use it.

So the end result of this is that things such as interactive whiteboards, iPads and Laptops end up being FEARED & ADORED GADGETS in the classroom or simply used as regular whiteboards.

However, from my own point of view, I see all of this about finding ways to use technology meaningfully, so the investment made by schools is a worthwhile one, and it makes education more relevant to life and by making the learning very much more dynamic.

That’s why I’ve decided to publish this post about the Emerge Technology Summit 2015. To be honest I couldn’t have just gotten a notification about this summit and then just go ahead to register without telling you about it. I’m very very interested in seminars and summits that train the new generation entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

The Emerge 2015 is designed to bring together Web and Software Developers, Internet Security and Cloud Experts from across Nigeria and Africa on one platform at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers Abuja, Nigeria from 8th – 9th December, 2015 for the purpose of capacity development and networking.
The key objectives of this summit will be as follows:

Educate participants with trends and global developments in the tech world.
Equip developers with the tools and techniques they need to be successful.
Create an environment for the exchange of ideas via interactive and social sessions.
Develop and promote technology and tech enterprises in Nigeria and Africa

Emerge 2015 plans on drawing at least five hundred (500) participants from all over Africa. Speakers for the Emerge Tech Summit are from Nigeria, Kenya, Europe and America.
The Emerge Technology Summit is a 2 day event but the day 2 is the Emerge Tech Summit proper it’s on the 9th of December, 2015

They have promised that it is going to be a busy day as the summit would be in top gear. They are sure that we should expect all of their guest speakers to be on ground just in time for summit. The day would be starting early and would extend into the evening with powered packed break-out sessions.
