Job Profile – Facility Officer

Position Title: Facility Officer

Position Summary: The Facility Officer works under direct supervision of the Projects Manager to achieve the goals of the Building Projects and Maintenance Department.

Main Duties:

• Perform building maintenance duties to ensure maximum availability and optimum performance of building system and equipment in line with the approved guidelines of the Maintenance Department. This includes but not limited to implementing and supervising maintenance procedures for:

• Interior and exterior building
• Security system
• Fire alarm system
• Water and plumbing system
• Pest control
• Waste management
• Air conditioning
• Other related matters
• General correspondence and interaction with contractors in line with approved guidelines of the school.
• Recommend and supervise repairs and replacement works.
• Trouble shoot minor technical/facility problems.
• Record keeping.
• Liaise with contractors in the maintenance programmes for building systems.

Job Goals

• Maintain an up-to-date schedule of maintenance life cycle of building services installations.
• Provide accurate cost forecasting for building services.

Minimum Position Requirements:

Education:
HND or Bachelors Degree: B.Sc. (Mechanical / Electrical)
Professional qualification is an added advantage

Experience:

3 years post NYSC experience

• Analytical skills
• Technical knowledge of building services
• An eye for thoroughness and attention to detail
• Teamwork and Collaboration skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer oriented
• Problem solving skills
