[b]Is there a place where sport isn't celebrated today? Globally, sport has evolved to a stage where even a child below the primary age can discuss sport. The signicance of sport cannot be over ephasised. Bellow are some importance of this unphatomable interest:
1) Unity amongst people of various races, cultural background nd ethnic relations. Sport is a team event nd in a team you find people from differnt areas working together and defending themselves to achieve a common goal.
2) Reduction of tension. When a sporting event is going on even in crisis related areas, people think less about security issues and focuses more on the game. For instance, in Nigeria, alot of sport centres has been bomb but yet every week these centres are still crowded with sport fans ready to enjoy the game.
3) Income and revenue generation. Individuals who are actively engaged in sport derive their livelyhood from the game, e.g. Coaches, players, club owners, stadium/pitch owners etc. When a country leases out its sport facilities, revenue is derived thus.

(what is your own view on the topic? What other significance of sports do you know?)
