Assalamu alaikum,

Most of the prophets of Islam came from one geographical area, i.e. Middle East. Why?

My friend was curious when asked of this question by a friend, a christian, who they are studying together in Ukrain. My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, can we cross fingers? Is there any wisdom behind the coming of our prophets (May Allah's Peace be upon them) from one geographical area (the middle East)?

If i get ur question right it is because he is a descendant of Isma'il ibn Ibrahim
And the scriptures have foretold about him, his people will drive him out of his place of birth to Madina, but they have remove this verse from their holy book.

Actually your "friend" was being dishonest or disingenous. ALL BUT ONE of your alleged prophets come from one small patch of arid desert - THE LAND OF ISRAEL!

To use the term "middle east" is ostensibly done to avoid the uncomfortable fact that it seems allah forgot all about ishmael for 6000 yrs, prefering instead to send all his "prophets" through the line of the Jews that muslims today virulently hate. Another problem is the fact that the ONLY "prophets" outside mohammad that muslims can point to ARE ALL FOUND IN THE BIBLE! coincidence? Methink not.

What this has to do with the substance of this topic beats me but as is usual with oyb, its not the topic that he is interested in . . . sly personality attacks are what he specialises in.

No, i read the bible too . . . i saw all the drivel you posted as regards pharaoh drowning and what not . . . read through the rest of the bible . . . it was RARE for Kings to go into direct battle even though their names were often mention as "leading" the battle. David was at home in the palace while his army was at war (when he met beersheba). We dont read of Cyrus, or Nebuchandezar or Belteshazzar or any of the Assyrian or Philistine kings being physically present in battle. Saul was a case where kings actually fought in battle.

er. . .i seem to remember that its egyptian kings we are talking about here. and it wasn't a war they were marching to, who goes to war against unarmed slaves fleeing your nation?
