Father, Uncle And Brother At War Over Victor Osimhen’s Wolfsburg Transfer by investigator: 1:12pm On Dec 23, 2015
The future o f FIFA U-17 World Cup winner, Victor
Osimhen, has been thrown into confusion following crisis
that has hit his family over the transfer of the youngster to a
European club, New Telegraph can report.

The Chile 2015 Golden Ball winner had been tipped to join
a European club after his heroics in the SouthAmerican
country two months ago but his success has pitched
members of his family against one another over who should
represent the player. Our correspondent learnt that
Osimhen’s uncle, Michael, is leading a faction while the
player’s elder brother, Andrew, is the arrowhead of the
other group. The two groups have their agents who are
claiming to have the authentic rights to represent the player.

Andrew who is the eldest son of Patrick Osimhen the
player’s father alleged in an interview with our
correspondent that his uncle was attempting to hijack his
brother’s transfer.

Andrew who is currently in Germany with Victor on the
invitation of Bundesliga outfit, Wolfsburg, spoke with
NewTelegraph from the European country Tuesday
morning and said that Shira Ayila, who is an elder brother
of erstwhile Super Eagles player, Yusuf Ayila, was the
authentic agent of his brother. He said Michael knew that
Victor already had an agent before introducing another one
to the father.

The crisis got a new dimension when reports emerged in
the media that the father was beaten by thugs over his
refusal to endorse the player’s move to Wolfsburg. Some
media reports suggested that top players’ agent and owner
of National League outfit, 36 Lions FC, Liameed Gafar,
was behind the attack. But Andrew said his uncle was the
one who planted the concocted report in the media, saying
that his dad was never attacked.

“It is absolutely untrue that my father was beaten up. It is
my uncle who has orchestrated this crisis. He is using the
media for his own selfish interest.

“He is just our uncle and we are wondering how he can
possibly take decision on issues that concern my brother.

He has been using all means to destabilise us.
My father was never attacked, you have my younger
sister’s number, you can confirm from her. What he is
trying to do is to rubbish Garfar who has been like a
guardian to Victor and his agents,” he said. In a report
monitored by our correspondent, Michael allegedly said, in
a press release, that the dad would take Wolfsburg and the
agent to FIFA if the player signs a contract with the
German club.

But Andrew said: “My uncle is a mischief maker, he
brought one agent and they forced my dad to sign a
document which he did not understand. Those documents
were forged and under duress, they got my dad to thump
print. We were invited by Wolfsburg to see their facilities
here and we are satisfied. We are not discussing about any
deal yet.
