A Southwest Airlines flight made what appeared to be a normal landing after circling for several hours over an Oakland, California, airport due to a possible landing gear problems. source: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/southwest-flight-preps-emergency-landing-airport-35926577 The plane had circled the airport at least once, before finally, making it safely to the tarmac, having to make the emergency, avoiding a belly landing. A belly landing or gear-up landing occurs when an aircraft lands without its landing gear fully extended and uses its underside, or belly, as its primary landing device. I was praying as i watch the plane land about 30 minutes ago. Thank God 1 Like
