my friend has a 2003 honda cr-v. been trouble from day one. first the gasket got burnt on a trip from lagos, then a new top cylinder plus some valves had to be replaced after it was reprogrammed. works fairly well now, but developed a new fault. the speedometer and odometer are hyperfunctioning, it runs to the end when you are moving and does not even move when you are revving on idle. the srs lights, check engine and brake lights are on when driving and flicker intermittently. HELP US WHAT IS WRONG??

The mechanic now owns your friend, I believe he now spends more time and money with his mechanic
I hope your friend has learnt what not to do with a new car now after his purchase. Gaskets don't get burnt on a trip unless you did something bad. Let other learn from what your friend did before the gasket burnt and what you did after then maybe we can do a reverse diagnosis.
If you can post a vin it might show if it was a salvage that was not properly fixed.

Your friend could have opened the radiator, not close it properly, let coolant evaporate and ignore check gages light when it came on.
