An unnamed 10-year old boy's right arm is positioned for full amputation at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu State as a result of Christmas firework also knows as knockouts which exploded and shattered his hand as he was handling it on Christmas day, 25th of December.

This is so sad, i can just imagine what this boy's parents are going through now...

This is why we keep warning parents and elder ones to keep an eye on the children. So this boy is entering the new year with one hand.

Fireworks was placed on a total ban in my area, so proper orientation should be given to these lads on how to use these bangers.

2. Where did the boy see money to buy it
3. A 10 yrs old boy should still be under supervision of his parents

So what should have happened is that on taking the boy to the hospital, the parents should have been arrested and charged to court...

I only pity that boy, when his mates are climbing trees and stoning lizards, he wont be able to partake in the fun

This should be fireworks (the one that goes up like rocket) not those small bangers (knockouts) .
Cos I remember bangers sounded on my hands a couple of times back in those days and I only had a small cut.
