Start The New Year Off Right By Living A Different Lifestyle! by Nobody: 7:32pm On Jan 01, 2016
Afternoon Everyone!,

Depending on how many of my Facebook groups you're a part of, or if you subscribe to my daily newsletter, you're probably going to see this message posted more than once. Also, if you were a part of this morning's hangout, then you're already aware of what I'm going to say.

It's about goals and resolutions, which was a major talking point in this morning's session -- for obvious reasons. It's a new year, and we all want to get things started on the right foot.

But no matter how well you start, there are no guarantees that you're going to finish that way -- assuming you do finish at all.

You see, regardless of what it is that you want to do, whether it's to become a better business owner, start a new business, lose weight, invest and save more, or simply be a better person, you need to make these things a part of your daily lifestyle. NOT your routine, but your LIFESTYLE.

Here's the difference:

Routine is what you do. Routines happen typically at the same time and place, with little to no variation. Routines can and sometimes do build habits, but for the most part, they don't encourage much growth outside of its parameters. Waking up at a certain time of day is routine for you, but that in and of itself, is not going to help you achieve your goals. Unless your goal is to wake up at 5AM everyday, then mission accomplished.

Lifestyle, on the other hand, is the way you live. It's how you view and approach the world and life in general. People who are into fitness, don't just exercise 3 times a day, for 45 minutes a day. (That's routine.) They also make better choices about what and when they eat, the types of exercises they do, and also what they can include or reduce throughout their day to encourage more physical activity. That combined, is lifestyle. They live, eat and breathe what it is they want to do, which is be fit, eat clean and live healthy.

How does this pertain to you and your goals? Simple.

Whatever it is that you plan to accomplish this year, make sure you're living and pursuing it each and every day, and not just when it's convenient to do so. If you want to further your education, enroll in a course or find ways to study on your own. Don't sit around planning to go back to school, utilize what time you have NOW to learn something new. Maybe that extra knowledge and training will allow you to create an opportunity to make the money you need to go back to school.

If you want to start a business, come up with an idea of what you want to do, learn the ins and outs of the business/industry, then get to work.

The people who achieve their goals don't focus on what they can't do (that's called making excuses), but put more effort and attention into what they can.

If it didn't happen last year, make 2016 the year you stop talking about what you want to do, and start doing it. And if you do, you'll notice a world of a difference in your year-end results. smiley

Take care, and be blessed!
