half educated M*rond. You think tomatoes can grow in the south east . Is the land of the south east suitable for tomatoe production. You all come online and spew rubbish. He situated in Lagos Cus it's closer to MARKET. It's the biggest market. He is already working on thin margins and trucking from east to Lagos will increase costs. He also mentioned about government support from the sokoto government which helped his decision . He talked about having factories everywhere in Nigeria and building churches and mosques. He is a detribalized Nigerian. That's what you need. It shows you are exposed and intelligent. Sometimes, I am really ashamed of this young generation, with Internet and education, you would imagine they would start seeing themselves as one. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

People always bring up this 'tribalism' issue whenever Igbos talk about investing at home. So investing in one's region to improve the place economically and infrastructurally as well as to provide employment is being tribalistic? Last I checked, I wasn't able to find non-easterners who invested heavily in Igboland the way Igbos have done everywhere. 2 Likes |

Masterclass32: If the market is conducive, indigenes and foreigners alike would invest. Business isn't an altruistic venture, that's called charity. You are guilty of what you blame your business people of doing if you take employment in Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc. Why don't you look for a job at home and contribute in igboland? Works both ways. You are looking after yourself and so is the business man! 4 Likes 1 Share |

astrodome:He said "That colorant they are using" He did not say food colorants are inherently deadly SO I think you are too hasty to condemn which is easy for someone who has achieved nothing to shout about. Regulations are breached in every single country as countless undercover reporters have shown us.You seem to take particular delight in negative talk |

omonnakoda: Stop being an olodo. He was not referring to a specific colorant. He made a general insinuation that colorants are bad. Read and comprehend in context. |

I'm glad that after many years of argument some Igbos are beginning to understand that other tribes is not our problem. These Igbos only mostly built sophisticated palatial homes in their villages which are left empty until holiday seasons or when they want to contest elections. Investing in Igboland is not about raising 4 storey building in Aba or Onitsha nor is it building the highest mansion in Nkwerre or Nkanu but doing things people like Uche Ogah and Innocent Chukwuma are presently doing. 1 Like |

He went on to say he reported to NAFDAC. What did they report to NAFDAC if not a specific infraction Stop deceiving yourself be honest for once 1 Like |

On the contrary, you're the one sounding very foolish here. Do you see urhobos fighting against urhobos? No! or ibibios against ibibios? or Fulani's against Fulani's? No, but all over Nigeria igbos are known for disputing and calling each other names eg Osu. astrodome: 1 Like |

astrodome:His decision to invest in Sokoto is well informed because tomatoes will not grow well in his part of the country. Also, the demand for tractors is very near zero in Igbo land. The farms are not laid out the way they are in the north where the full benefits of tractor use are well experienced because the farms cover vast flat lands. The decisions to create tomato farms in the north and to build tractor factories there are sound. Doing it in the south would have amounted to folly. If he was in a different business suitable to the part of the country of which he is a native, then it would have been good for him to establish there. But for these ones, he has made the right decisions. astrodome |
