Although the identity of the person who killed the Notorious B.I.G. is currently unknown, the late rap legend’s wife believes the Los Angeles Police Department may have knowledge about the killer.

“We know he was murdered, but we believe that the LAPD knows who’s responsible,” Faith Evans said during an interview with HuffPost Live while expressing her thoughts that the LAPD isn’t telling the public everything regarding the case. “That’s what we believe.”

As a result, the singer wants the case surrounding B.I.G.’s death reopened with more people working to solve it. In addition, Evans stated expressed.

“All we can do is hope that happens,” Evans said. “But we’re just happy that we’re here to preserve his legacy and [make sure] his kids are happy and they’re living great lives.”

The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. Despite various developments in the case, the killer has yet to be caught.
