Many youth today are unemployed as a result of their naivety either during the job search or the interview session. This writeup will show you the things you must also be a master of aside learning about the company and practising some interview questions when going for a job interview.

Good communication skill
You have to learn to perfect your skill of communication, regardless of the course you studied; be it Mathematics or Biochemistry. This is the first thing your interviewer will observe about you when the interview begins. Make sure you know how to use your words and tenses almost perfectly. You also need to have a good diction and perfect audibility.

A good CV
Many graduates cannot write a good CV. If need be, attend a five-day training session on how to write a good CV; it’s very much worth it. You can also employ the service of professional CV writers or ask for the assistant of an experienced human resource personnel. Also, don't ever tell lies in your CV. Don’t say what you cannot do or defend.

Good dress sense
Even if the job does not require formal dressing, it is advisable that you appear for the interview formally dressed. If you are dressed in such a manner that your cleavage is exposed or your pants are sagging, you may pass the wrong information to your future emoloyers and this may affect your chance of getting the job. First impressions they say, lasts longer.

Acceptable personal conduct
This is where many youth get it wrong. The fact that you have been at home for long does not mean you should become overly desperate in your attempt to get a job. Even when you are desperate, you need to hide it during the interview for it can turn off your interviewers. Also, desperation and fear can push you to say wrong things during the interview. It is an interview session, not a do-or-die affair. You either get the job or not. Don’t be afraid; just go in there with enough confidence.

Passion for the job
You need a job that pays well, sure! But don’t rush into the salary discussion. Even if the job is not in your field of study, you still need to show that you are ready to work and make positive contributions to the growth of the organisation. Don’t let your interviewers feel that money is the major reason you want the job, and not the service that you are ready and willing to render.
