Several times I've had to think through this decision to name my best Gospel artiste (male).
It's been a well contested brain battle because the likes of Michael W. Smith, Don Moen, Tye tribbett, Hillsong United, Donnie Mcclurkin, Kirk Franklin, and our own dear Frank Edwards are there amongst best.

But right now,I know that Michael W. Smith is my best gospel artiste.Most of his songs are soul lifting and have become a hit back to back over the years,from Grace,Healing Rain/Let it rain,Our God is awesome God to Let it rain...I think its the way in which he sings that has made him come out top in my list.
Don Moen is a patron in the business,but MWS has a better voice...

Radical singers like Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin and even Donnie Mcclurkin to some extent also are up there with the very best.

My list in order of preference:

#3 Hillsong United
#4 Don Moen
#5 Kirk Franklin
#6 Frank Edwards
